AMRI Hospitals Bhubaneswar observed World Parkinson’s day 2024 on April 11 to spread awareness about Pariknson’s disease. Many healthcare delegates attended the event and spoke on the disease and wellness.

The event was graced by a distinguished team of Neuro surgery and Neuro Medicine  like Senior Consultant Neurologists Dr. L. D. Padhi, Dr. Pradyut Ranjan Bhuyan, Dr. Aakash Agarwal and Neurosurgeons like senior consultant and director Dr Amit Jaswal along with hospital’s staff. The gathering included residents from the surrounding community who came together to support this essential cause.

The Neuro Team of AMRI Hospital apprised people about the disease, its symptoms and medical treatment.

A new and advance treatment procedure was also discussed that is Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). DBS implantation uses advanced brain-sensing technology to bring back the patient from Pariknson’s to normal life.

Dr saktimaya Mohapatra, Hospital Director of AMRI Hospitals expressed the gratitude and encouraged  the family members of  Pariknson’s patient to take immense care of the patient and praised the Neuro Team for their dedication to the society.

Vote of Thanks was given by medical superintendent of AMRI Hospitals Dr. Sidhartha Mishra and advised people to carry the knowledge and inspiration gained from the event into their daily lives.

Notably, World Parkinson’s Day is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of those affected by this challenging condition. Through education, early detection and comprehensive support, we can empower individuals living with Pariknson’s Disease and their families to lead fulfilling lives.
