Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar has been recognised for excellence in specialised healthcare services at the Kanak News & Swasthya Sambad Health Conclave 2026. The hospital received prestigious honours for its ‘Centre of Excellence in Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Fetal Medicine’ and its ‘Department of General, Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery’.
Organised annually by Kanak News and Swasthya Sambad, the Health Conclave and Awards bring together healthcare experts, institutions, and industry leaders to discuss major health issues and recognise outstanding contributions to healthcare services across Odisha.
The awards were presented by Prithviraj Harichandan, Honourable Minister of Law, Government of Odisha.
The award for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Fetal Medicine was received by Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Dr. Monica Gupta, Dr. Shivani Devi, Dr. Bharat Bhusan, Dr. Laxminarayan Sahu and Dr. Saktimaya Mohapatra.

Meanwhile, the award for the Department of General, Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery was received by Dr. Ramya Ranjan Behera, Dr. Lalatendu Mohapatra and Dr. Saurajit Patnaik.
During the conclave, the gynaecology team of Manipal Hospital Bhubaneswar also participated in a panel discussion on ‘Modern lifestyle and its impact on women’s health’. The discussion focused on preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, healthy lifestyle practices, and the importance of regular health check-ups for women’s wellbeing.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saktimaya Mohapatra said the recognition reflected the dedication, clinical expertise, and patient-centric approach of the hospital’s multidisciplinary teams. He added that the hospital remains committed to strengthening quality healthcare services, promoting preventive health awareness, and delivering compassionate care to communities across the region.
