State’s premier multi super specialty Utkal hospital organized Utkal Cancer Conclave on 12th January 2025 at Mayfair Convention in Bhubaneswar. This is the second conference after the success of the first one in January 2024.
About 250 delegates attended the conference and many renowned national and state ptofessors delivered their speeches.
As we all know, Cancer is on the rise and Utkal Hospital is dedicated to providing comprehensive and personalized cancer care across Eastern India and neighboring states. The conference focused on all the recent advances in the field of cancer treatment.
Member of Parliament Dr. Sambit Patro was the Chief Guest of the event. He focused on quality and affordable cancer care in India. NISER Director Dr. Hirendranath Ghosh graced the event as the guest of honor. He emphasized on the role of such conferences and continuing education.
Other dignitaries include Prof. Dr. P.K. Das, Dean and Director Education, Dr. RK Mahapatra, Director Medical Services and Dr. PR Gharai, MD Utkal Hospital reiterated Utkal Hospital’s commitment to continuous personalized cancer care for patients across the country. Organizing Secretary Dr. Sanjib Mishra, Director of Radiation Oncology, highlighted the improvement in cancer treatment available in Odisha, especially at Utkal Hospital. Prof. Sushil Kumar Giri was felicitated on the occasion for his lifetime contribution to cancer treatment, especially women’s cancer. At the end of the conference, Dr. Ranjan Mohanty gave vote of thanks.
