Types of Vertigo

There are three types of Vertigo-

  1. Peripheral- This happens when there is a problem in the inner ear
  2. Central- This happens when there is an issue in the brain that may be caused by brain stroke, tumors, infection, or trauma.
  3. BPPV(Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo)- This is the most common cause of vertigo which occurs due to a change in your head position.

Causes

  • Head injury
  • Some specific medicines
  • Vestibular neuronotis
  • Migraine

  • Labyrinthitis- If the inner ear labyrinth becomes infected or inflamed.

Treatment
