Senior citizens

People above 60 or who have retired from their jobs are referred to as senior citizens. They are often told that they talk a lot. But, recent studies say that retirees or senior citizens should talk more because it is the only way to prevent memory loss. It has many other health benefits for them as well such as-

Health benefits of talking-

  1. Speaking activates the brain and keeps the brain active. Language and thought communicate with each other, especially when speaking fast resulting in thinking reflexes and also enhancing memory. Elders who do not talk much are more likely to lose their memory.
  2. Speaking relieves a lot of stress. It avoids mental illness and reduces stress.
  3. Speaking activates the facial muscles, lung capacity, and throat.
  4. It reduces the risk of eye and ear deterioration and reduces latent risks such as dizziness and deafness.
  5. It is an effective way to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
