Piles are ring-type swellings in veins inside or around the rectum and anus. They are also called hemorrhoids. There are two types of piles-
- External piles- they are found under the skin, around the anus.
- Internal piles- they lie inside the rectum.
Causes
- Constipation
- Straining during bowel movement.
- Eating less fiber food.
- Eating processed and junk foods.
Fissure
It is a small crack or tears in the anal lining or opening. It feels like a pricking pain while passing stool.
Causes
- Sitting in the same posture for hours. Mostly seen in offices.
- Pregnancy
- Eating less fiber food
- Drinking too much alcohol
- Less water intake
- Anal intercourse
- Late nights
- Obesity
Fistula
Glands near the anus have mucus. If there is an infection there, then it forms an abscess and creates another anal opening around the skin near the anus.
Prevention
- Drink water properly
- No junk food
- More fiber food
- Avoid eating non-veg at night.
- Sleep properly
- Eat in time

- Aesculus hippocastanum- 30 or 200 twice a day for 3 days.
- Nux vomica- 6
- Ratanhia- 30 or 200
If there is blood in the stool then
- Acid nitricium
- Hamamelis- 200
- Sulphur
- Collinsonia
- Muriatic acid
For fistula
- Hepar sulph
- Silicea
