Cosmetic surgery is a surgical procedure undergone by a person to change their physical appearance for cosmetic reason rather than medical emergencies.
What happens in cosmetic surgery?
- Solution to hair loss-Initial stage of baldness can be treated with -Platelet rich plasma, Mesotherapy or medicines Large bald patches -Hair transplant is the ultimate option for this.
- Nose job – To beautify roman, crooked, big or any type of nose.
- Reduces anti aging symptoms like- wrinkle, premature aging, pimples etc. It is medically controlled by procedures like chemical peeling, laser treatment and medicines.
- Removes unwanted facial hair
- Removes fat and wrinkles from different body parts like neck & face by a procedure called – Liposuction.
- Breast augmentation and size reduction surgeries
- Treating Gynecomastia- It is an increase in breast gland tissues in men due to hormonal imbalance. It is first treated with hormones and if it still persists then treated by liposuction and gland excision.

Precautions to be taken
Cosmetic surgery isn’t harmful when done under appropriate supervision and it should be done after proper screening of the patient. First and foremost a very good anesthetist is required to check the proceedings and can prevent emergency.
- Stay in a cooler place after hair transplant- If you have undergone hair transplant then the first precaution you should take is to stay in a cool place. If you are sweating by any chance then hair transplant is a big failure.
- No exposure to sunlight for at least 10 days
- Drink adequate water
- Avoid dusty places
- Clean body habits to avoid infection.
- Follow the golden rule- There is a golden rule to this which goes- you should only remove 10% of your body fat at a time because more than that there are chances of cardiac arrest.
