Swasthya Sambad and Kanak News jointly organize The Health Conclave 2025 on 19th December here. This conclave mainly focused on Diabetes and its complications.
Many delegates and health professionals graced the event. State Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling joined the event as chief guest and delivered his speech. Dr Mahaling shed light on state’s planned blueprints for betterment of health.
Dr Surajeet Kumar Patra, director of Apollo Sugar Clinics, Bhubaneswar and Dr Ankita Tiwari, endocrinologist from Manipal Hospital participated in the first panel discussion. They delivered talks on how Diabetes has become a menace.
In the second discussion, Dr Swetanka Dash and Dr Sanjay Kumar Jangid discussed on Diabetes and Hypertension’s effect on heart.
In the third panel discussion, renowned endocrinologist Dr Sweekruti Jena and ophthalmologist Dr Pallavi Ray had a discussion on Diabetes’s critical effect on the eyes and Diabetic Retinopathy.
As naturopathy is playing a very important role in managing lifestyle diseases, the 4th panel was based on that. Dr Satyabrata Minaketan and Dr Milind Parashar from Healthville Naturopathy Centre discussed on naturopathy’s role in managing blood sugar level.
The last panel discussion focused on healthcare leadership. Dr Saktimaya Mohapatra, Cluster Director of Manipal Hospital and S Santosh Kumar Dora discussed on the role of corporate hospitals in improving state’s healthcare index.
The event was also attended by many students from various medical colleges who listened and gained knowledge from the discussions.
