The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has announced that more than 2.83 lakh health camps have been conducted across India under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan as of September 20th. Launched on September 17th, the nationwide campaign aims to provide comprehensive health services to women, children, and families, and has already seen an overwhelming response from the public.
According to the Ministry, the initiative has garnered widespread participation, with over 76 lakh citizens registering to avail of the services offered under the campaign. The camps are focused on promoting preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and raising awareness about nutrition, maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, and mental well-being.
“The campaign is a significant step towards empowering women and strengthening families by ensuring access to essential health services at the grassroots level,” a ministry spokesperson said.
The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve public health outcomes and promote equitable healthcare delivery across states and union territories.
Health officials noted that the active involvement of local health workers, self-help groups, and community organizations has played a crucial role in the campaign’s rapid outreach and success.
