Bhubaneswar: National Doctors’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at the Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, honoring the selfless service and dedication of doctors, often referred to as the “second incarnation of God.”
The chief guest of the event, Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi, Founder and Chairman of the Hi-Tech Group, emphasized the crucial role of medical professionals in ensuring that no patient leaves the hospital untreated due to financial constraints. He reiterated the institution’s commitment to continue providing free and accessible healthcare to the underprivileged and middle-class sections of society.
Also gracing the occasion were Suresh Kumar Panigrahi, Managing Trustee of Hi-Tech Group, and Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi, Director and MLA of Paralakhemundi. In their addresses, they acknowledged doctors as the real heroes of society whose tireless efforts save countless lives every day.
Several senior officials and dignitaries from the medical college and hospital participated in the event, including Dr. Anil Kumar Panigrahi (Deputy Director), Professor Dr. Lisa Sadangi (Vice Principal), Professor Dr. Rabindranath Behera (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Basudev Behera (General Administration), Professor Dr. Radha Madhab Tripathy (Director and Dean), Professor Dr. Ashok Acharya (Director of General Surgery), and Professor Dr. Amrit Pattajoshi (Psychiatry Department). Many doctors and postgraduate students from various departments were also present.
As part of the celebration, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar under RID 11710-2, a special ceremony was held to honor ten distinguished doctors from the institution. Rotary District Governor Rotarian Manoj Tripathy, Rotary Club President Rotarian Sanjay Choudhury, and Secretary Rotarian Biswajit Patra attended the function and felicitated the doctors for their outstanding contributions to the field of medicine.
The event underscored the importance of compassion, responsibility, and commitment in the medical profession and concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of care and service in healthcare.
