Holi, the festival of colors, is an exciting and joyous occasion where people come together to celebrate with vibrant colors, music, and dance. However, while it’s all fun and games, the harsh chemicals in synthetic Holi colors can be tough on your skin, especially your face. From rashes and irritation to dryness and pigmentation, the effects of these colors can be a real concern. But don’t worry! Here’s a step-by-step guide to protect your face during Holi:

1. Pre-Holi Skin Care: Moisturize Your Skin

Before stepping out to celebrate, start with a good skincare routine to create a barrier between your skin and the Holi colors. The best way to do this is by moisturizing your face generously with a thick, hydrating cream or oil.

  • Why it works: A well-moisturized face will help prevent the colors from sticking to your skin and will also protect against dryness and irritation.
