Overview
Women tend to gain weight during pregnancy. For single pregnancy, generally the standard weight gain is assumed to be 12 Kgs and for twins it is between 15 to 18 kgs.
The post partum weight can be reduced by-

Upgrade eating complex carbohydrate from simple carbohydrate

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables

Regular walk and exercise with due advise from the Doctor

Take small meals(small portions) in more frequency(more number of times)
Post partum weight can be reduced by a combination of balanced diet and exercise. You can decrease the calorie intake by 300-500 Calories per day gradually and remember everybody is different. So, you need to understand your body before shedding weight. Try everything new at a very slower rate and see how your body reacts to it. Accordingly take calorie reduction steps. Never be in a hurry to shed weight after pregnancy.
Body shaming is not at all acceptable. So, try to lose weight at your ease and breastfeeding shouldn’t be stopped for at least for 6 months to 1 year to encourage weight loss because it is highly necessary for the baby also.
