There are many myths regarding the food we eat during our pregnancy. A few such myths and truths are-
Saffron
Myth– Baby will have a lighter skin tone.
Truth– Skin tone depends on the genes the baby is carrying.
Papaya
Myth– Eating Papaya during pregnancy can cause miscarriage.
Because earlier raw Papaya milk (papain) was used for abortion.
Truth– Papaya is beneficial during pregnancy.
Raw Papaya curry is advisable during pregnancy.
Ripe Papaya is very good during pregnancy.
Pineapple
Myth– When a mother consumes Pineapple during pregnancy, she might have a miscarriage, or the baby will have a darker skin tone.
Truth– Pineapple is rich in Vitamin C and other nutrients.
Coconut water
Myth– When consumed during pregnancy, the baby will have hazel-colored eyes.
Truth– Coconut water consists of plenty of nutrition and minerals including Vitamin K and Potassium.

Myths
- People gain more weight after laparoscopic operation
- Spinal Anaesthesia given during C- Section causes back pain after Caesarean.
- The nerve and spinal cord get injured during spinal anesthesia.
- Complete tissue or mass can’t be removed in minimal invasive surgery like laparoscopy.
- After the family planning operation, women get weaker.
The above are proven to be myths and we all must be aware of them and know about the reality.
