Do’s
- Eat
- Broccoli- It is rich in vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds
- Spinach- Spinach is a superstar amongst green leafy vegetables which includes- blood glucose control in people with diabetes, lowering the risk of cancer improving skin, hair, and bone health, boosting hydration, cutting the risk of anemia, helps maintain good vision, curbs appetite, support heart health. Thus, it’s very vital to include spinach in your diet, especially in winter.
- Cabbage and cauliflower- high in fiber, a good source of antioxidants, high in choline
- German turnip- triggers weight loss, regulates blood pressure, supports cardiovascular health, and provides antioxidants.
- Eat anti-inflammatory foods like- garlic, ginger, and basil. In case of cough and cold, one can have some ginger with honey and basil.
- Add simple carbohydrates to your food.
- Exercise and yoga
- Drink lukewarm water.
- Warm water gurgling.
- Eat plenty of seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Don’t
- Avoid processed and packaged food.
- Eat light food day time and for dinner.
- Avoid refined flour, white bread, sooji, gram flour, and flattened rice.
- Add jaggery to your food instead of sugar.
