Bloating

It is a sensation that makes you feel that your stomach is completely full. It may be the result of excess intestinal gas. Common causes are drinking excessive cold drinks, eating large meals, and wind or constipation.

Symptoms

  • Tummy feels full
  • The tummy looks more significant than normal
  • Tightness in the tummy
  • Pressure in the tummy

Indigestion

It is a feeling where you experience constant pain or discomfort in your upper abdomen. It is also called dyspepsia or upset stomach. It may be caused by too much drinking, food intolerance, taking some specific medicines in empty stomach, and eating too much.

  • Vomiting
  • Feeling full or heavy
  • Nausea
  • Flatulence

Flatulence

The passing of wind from the digestive system is called flatulence. It is mostly caused by swallowing more air than usual during eating or drinking something.

  • Abdominal discomfort
  • Passing wind
  • Rumblings in the lower abdomen

How to get rid of these

  1. Take small meals
  2. Don’t take gas-producing foods.
  3. Take enzyme supplements.
  4. Try probiotics in some cases.
  5. Avoid soda
  6. Say no to alcohol
  7. Can try eating yogurt which may provide pain relief from gas.
  8. Take deep breaths
  9. Can try ginger tea to get relief from bloating.
  10. Peppermint tea is also believed to improve the pain symptoms of flatulence.
